Please join us in congratulating Ms. Corigliano on receiving this distinguished award for the outstanding work she does for the Academy and for each and every student. We could not be more proud of her!
On Tuesday, December 7, NYSSCA (New York State School Counselor Association) presented Eileen Corigliano with the Administrator of the Year Award for her outstanding service, achievement, and dedication in support of school counseling. Robert Rotunda, EdD, Executive Director, and Dr. Cynthia Walley made the presentation.
Ms. Corigliano was nominated for the award by our guidance counselor, Carolyn Metz, who is also a member of NYSSCA.
To be eligible for nomination, one must be employed as a full-time administrator or recently retired. Among other criteria, nominees demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, advocacy, and collaboration in his/her work, promoting equity and access to rigorous educational opportunities for all students to maximize student achievement. Nominees are responsible for school counseling program innovations and they demonstrate strong professional and civic activities.

The Academy is fortunate to have such an outstanding educational leader and it is really wonderful when an outside group affirms our view of the exceptional leadership she is providing. Congratulations Ms. Corigliano on this impressive honor!
