  Description:   The entire Academy family gathers in the OJ Buck Gymnasium to celebrate Thanksgiving in this all-school assembly which features both holiday readings and music. Traditional Thanksgiving music is performed by our choral ensembles representing each division, as well as the SIA String Ensemble. Admission is free.

  Description:   Kick-off the holiday season with an evening of festive vocal and instrumental selections reflecting the season, featuring the Academy’s Concert Choir; our men’s ensemble, Something Musical; our women’s ensemble, Sweet Harmony; and the SIA Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and String Ensemble. Steeped in tradition, this concert honors our seniors as they perform some traditional favorites, as well as some more contemporary songs of the season. Also, enjoy the student art work on display in the Atrium Gallery. Admission is free.

  Description:   Join us in the OJ Buck Gymnasium for our annual celebration of light. Using a common theme of light, Upper School student speakers share facts and thoughts about the seasonal holidays including Yule, Hannukah, Duwali, Kwanzaa, Eid, and Christmas. Middle School students share their experiences of "Illuminating Lives through Giving,” their winter service initiatives. Lower School students highlight their writings from their collection of “Reflections of Lights.” Musical ensembles, representing all three divisions, perform selections that reflect the themes of the gathering. Admission is free.

  Description:   Each year, the Staten Island Academy Players perform a major work of American musical theater. With a cast of approximately 40 students, we are able to provide many opportunities for non-principals to be in the spotlight as well. Our production values are high, and the musical is the most attended event of the academic year. Recent productions include Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Into the Woods, Oklahoma, On the Town, Damn Yankees, Hello, Dolly!, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Last year’s musical comedy was A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Tickets can be ordered in advance at the new Staten Island Academy Online Box Office.

  Description:   Each year, Grades 7 and 8 perform a full-length musical theater piece. With a cast of approximately 40 students, we are able to provide many opportunities for non-principals to be in the spotlight as well. Our production values are high, and the musical involves over 80% of our Grade 7 and 8 students. Recent productions include Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver!, Babes in Arms, Seussical, Cinderella, Honk Once Upon a Mattress. Tickets can be ordered in advance at the new Staten Island Academy Online Box Office.
