Staten Island Academy to Present “Sweeney Todd”

March 15, 16 and 18

The Friday evening performance of Sweeny Todd has been moved to Sunday March 18 at 7 PM. Please email boxoffice@ statenislandacademy.org to confirm your tickets for the Sunday evening performance.

The Sunday matinee performance has been changed to a 2 PM curtain time.

February 28, 2007 – Staten Island Academy’s Performing Arts Department will present the Upper School musical production of Sweeney Todd on March 15 at 7 PM, March 16 at 8 PM and March 18 at 3 PM in the Haugen Hall Auditorium. To reserve tickets, which are also available at the door, call the box office at 718-303-8660 or email boxoffice@statenislandacademy.org. Tickets are $10.

The musical Sweeney Todd is based on the 19 th century legend of a serial killer. The book is by Hugh Wheeler with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Additional upcoming arts events at the Academy include an Art Show of student works on April 9 in the Haugen Hall Atrium, a Middle School Instrumental Recital at 10 AM in the Haugen Hall Auditorium on April 13, and a Dance Concert on April 20 at 7 PM, also in the Auditorium.

Staten Island Academy , located on a lush 12-acre campus, is a college-preparatory day school with an average class size of 17.
