Free Estate Planning Seminars at Staten Island Academy
April 29, 2004 at 3:30PM and 7PM

April 23, 2004 -Staten Island Academy, in conjunction with Richard Mahler and Associates, will hold two Estate Planning Seminars on April 29, 2004 at 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM in Crowe Hall on the school’s campus at 715 Todt Hill Road in Dongan Hills, Staten Island.

The guest speaker, Richard Mahler, has built his distinguished reputation on his ability to educate people about the importance of financial and estate planning. It is an issue that affects everyone, and these seminars are a wonderful opportunity to learn what we need to know.

The Estate Planning Seminars will touch on topics such as:
Learn how to Save, Shelter & Protect assets from government, nursing homes and creditors
How to pass an estate to beneficiaries completely estate tax free
The difference between wills and trusts
Reducing the size of a taxable estate
How trusts protect assets from nursing home expenses
The six ways to reduce the cost of long-term care insurance
How to protect assets after death should children be divorced or sued
How IRAs or 401Ks can avoid taxes at death under new IRA rules
How to determine the effectiveness of an asset investment strategy
How planning can help you realize your hopes and dreams
How to make a planned gift to a non-profit institution without loss to the family estate

Staten Island Academy, a coed college preparatory school, is offering this seminar as part of its ongoing series of free events for the public. The school held a free series of films-Sundays at Seven Film Series-last fall and winter. Other public events are being planned for next year in celebration of the Academy’s 120th anniversary.
