Second Annual Staten Island Dance Concert

April 18, 2007 ( Staten Island, NY) – Staten Island Academy’s Second Annual Dance Concert will be held Friday, April 20 at 7 PM. The performance will take place in Haugen Hall Theater, Staten Island Academy, 715 Todt Hill Road, Staten Island, N.Y., 10304. Tickets are $5, available at the door.

The concert, which will feature both faculty and staff as well as students, will include conceptual pieces based on hip-hop, jazz and ballet.

The Academy Dance Program, offered to Grades 1 through 12 in conjunction with the Fine Arts and Physical Education Departments, is integrated into the academic curriculum. For example, dance students perform pieces for special courses. Additionally, the program includes “Dance Attacks,” in which students perform short pieces randomly throughout the campus several times a year.

Staten Island Academy, located on a lush 12-acre campus, is a college-preparatory day school that educates students from age 4 through high school.
