News and Congratulations From the Offices of Communications

July 1, 2005 - Maureen McShane, who was appointed Director of Communications at Staten Island Academy in 2002, has been promoted to Director of Institutional Advancement. Prior to her employment at the Academy, Maureen was Communications Director at Poly Prep Country Day School and before that she was Director of Development and Assistant to the Head at Poly Prep Lower School. In her new capacity, Maureen will be facilitating the integration of the communications, fundraising and alumni affairs activities. Maureen has a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College.

June-Marie Colasuonno, Director of Annual Giving. June served as Director of Annual Giving at The Berkeley Carroll School for the several years where she worked closely with the Head and Trustees to advance strategic initiatives. Here she will coordinate all components of the Annual Fund and serve as a liaison to donors. June attended Pace University and has a B.A. from Empire State College.

Alice N. Doyle, Director of Special Events, brings more than a decade of public relations experience to the Academy where she will coordinate all events, write press releases, produce school publications and serve as primary contact to the media. Alice’s background includes Brooklyn College where she handled external and internal communications. Alice has a B.A. in theater from the University of Maryland at College Park.
