The Academy Fund
The Annual Fund, also known as the Academy Fund, gives the Academy the tools to fulfill our highest aspirations for every student.
Tax-deductible gifts help us to attract and retain talented teachers; to maintain an ideal student/teacher ratio; provide students with excellence in education, with international travel, unparalleled arts programs and championship athletic teams – and more. The Annual Fund – your gift – makes a difference every day in the life of the students.
The Annual Fund is an annual effort to raise funds through donations from the Board, faculty, parents, alumni and friends of the school. Its purpose is to allow SIA to raise funds needed to continue offering excellent academic programs, co-curricular opportunities and the same benefits are alumni enjoyed as students at the Academy. As many schools cut programs, SIA is committed to offering a full range of programs in the arts, athletics, physical education, advanced placement, extended day, summer camp and talented and gifted. However, what we charge for tuition does not fully cover the cost for this depth and breadth of program. Therefore, we try to manage that gap through our fundraising efforts including the Academy Fund, Gala & Auction, Golf & Tennis Outings, foundation grants, leadership gifts and planned giving.
Last year, gifts to the Academy Fund last year ranged between $5 and $25,000. Every gift is important. The list below shows the impact of your gift. We are interested in all acts of giving, of any size, by members of our community. Even the smallest gift will show that you believe in the Academy’s future and consider it an important cause.
Only you can decide the amount that is appropriate for you. We ask that you participate to the fullest extent possible for you and your family. We ask that parents make the Academy their highest philanthropic priority while their children are enrolled in the school. We also ask that our alumni recognize the value of their education and experiences at the Academy and help us offer those benefits to the students who follow them.
