Middle School students share their experiences of "Illuminating Lives through Giving.” Lower School students highlight their writings from their collection of “Reflections of Lights.” Musical ensembles, representing all three divisions, perform selections that reflect the themes of the gathering. Each year, the Staten Island Academy Players perform a major work of American musical theater. With a cast of approximately 40 students, we are able to provide many opportunities for non-principals to be in the spotlight as well. Our production values are high, and the musical is the most attended event of the academic year. Recent productions include Into the Woods, Oklahoma, On the Town, Damn Yankees, Hello Dolly!,Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes,The Mystery of Edwin Drood and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Last year’s musical was Fiddler on the Roof. Tickets can be ordered in advance at the new Staten Island Academy Online Box Office. |
