Michael Mazella, Academy Class of 1990, has been teaching English at the Academy since 1996.  After earning his Bachelor’s degree at Boston College where he double-majored in English and Psychology, Mr. Mazella completed his Master's Degree in Education (Psychological Studies) at Seton Hall University. Mr. Mazella taught for two years at St. Peter's Boys' High School before returning to his alma mater to teach English. During his tenure at the Academy, Mr. Mazella has taught English in Grades 7-12. Additionally, Mr. Mazella has instructed students in Public Speaking, Journalism, and writing workshop courses.  

Mr. Mazella’s other responsibilities include serving as the Boys' Varsity Basketball coach, a position he has held for the past six years.  Prior to this varsity coaching position, Mr. Mazella served as the Boys' Junior Varsity Basketball coach for a number of years, as well as the Girls' Varsity Soccer coach for several seasons. 

Mr. Mazella is happily married to Barbra Mazella (nee Meyers) '95.  The couple live in Branchburg, New Jersey with their daughter, Georgia Rose.
